Project Description

Cattlemen Road at Salinas River, Monterey County, CA

The bridge is a 1650 feet long, multi-span structure over the Salinas River.  Subsurface conditions included granular soils requiring scour and liquefaction studies.  Potential lateral loading due to liquefaction and other seismic loading required cast-in-steel-shell piles for the bridge.  All work was completed within schedule and budget and in accordance with Caltrans guidelines.
